Its strange how you can be sad about something that doesn't remotely affect you. I read in the papers today that David Bloom, an NBC reporter in Iraq died of a blood clot while on assignment. I have been watching him report from the frontlines and was always admirable of his courage and also the technology these days that you can see the war images as they happen. That was one thing i was drawn to his reports on late night tv. If any of you like me sometimes don't fall asleep till way past midnight, i'm pretty sure you'll be watching Today on NBC (1am to 3am on Channel 7). I was enticed mostly with the videophone technology they are using (okay, it's geektalk) and how reporting have changed since the Gulf War. Reading about his death strangely affected me. I've hoped that he wouldn't die in the line of fire, so when i read that his death was not combat-related, it made it even sadder. Strange how new technolgy have made the world alot smaller and made strangers feel like friends.
