It's my first long weekend in about 2 years i think! I usually have to work on mondays even if its a public holiday but there will be no more of those real soon! My last day at the tv station is tomorrow and i'm pretty satisfied for the time i've had there. I think its reached the used by date, so i'm ready to move on to different things. Anyway, the long weekend kicked off with a delicious celebratory dinner for Chinese New Year, topped with firecrackers and lion dances. Believe it or not, it was the first time i've seen (and heard) firecrackers go off so it was a treat, though we probably had smoke inhalation and slight deafness after. Saturday Shane threw a pre-Australia Day BBQ party at his massive backyard. We did a little bit of "bush-trekking" around the neighbourhood and admired their pets. I could see us filming the next Blair Witch Project there and everyone got strangely quiet after that. Sunday we took a little trip to 2 of my favourite places in Perth. A nice coffee and brownie at Cinos cafe followed by beer, pizzas and mussels at Little Creatures. SEE LONG WEEKEND PHOTOS HERE.
