Am i crazy to keep that hospital bracelet as a momento? I'm sure plenty of ex-patients do that. Not that i want to start a collection or anything... hell no! But i remember thinking "Heeeeyyy, cool. i get one of these!" It was my first time in hospital ... i apologise for the morbid childish enthusiasm. Then i got a bit confused when they also put one around my ankle just before wheeling me into surgery ... strange, was my leg gonna fall right off and they wont be able to match my limp to my body? So i have this bracelet sitting on my table as a momento of the days gone by, where i lie in bed thinking this room needs serious redecorating by the Queer Eye guys and waiting for the fabulous Pain Team to pop in and say, you alright? need more drugs? That was then, and now i'm home recovering - watching tv all day, sleeping heaps and eating 3 meals prepared for me. In other words, pretty much the same thing.
