My new machine arrived in the office yesterday, i wasn't really expecting much but i got some really bad-ass gear. I could ramble off the specs and hardware but i'll just put it as plainly as i can :- I got 2 FRIGG'IN HUGE monitors (one so wide i feel like i'm sitting in the front row at the cinemas), a superfast hard-drive which finishes starting up even before i can leave the room to make my morning coffee, the latest software which allows me to waste a whole day away learning their new features, and enough room in there to store all my dowloaded movie trailers and mp3s. It's definitely a great 'back to work' present and i'm expecting a possible falling-off-the-PC wagon soon. Joining the lunch hour crowd today getting a sandwich from the deli made me realise even though i have to pay a whole heap for parking, i still love the buzz of working in the city and walking amongst wall-street suits feeling so smug that i can wear my Gola sneakers to work.
