BACK TO THE START

27 DECEMBER 2004. MONDAY. 08:21PM.

How overrated is the holidays? Despite having my festive gene prematurely removed at birth, i had a pretty good long weekend. Kicked off Christmas hour drinking bourbons at Onyx and getting stampede at the Mustang Bar. Set the alarm to wake up in time to get my greek salad in order for Christmas lunch at Beebs. By the time dessert was cleared, it was time for a nap but lying belly down watching Return of the King DVD was a good second choice. Boxing Day was a breeze. I took my Sex and the City DVDs out of the box and started a marathon stopping just in time to drive north to Janet's for her annual BD dinner. As usual, i sat, i ate, and chatted and drank. Our french pastry chef is back from Melbourne so dessert was gooooood. Nothing like having it done by the professionals. So it brings us to today. Shocked about the tsunami disaster back in Asia. I checked everyone (cousin and housemate in separate locations) i knew who were holidaying that they were safe (they all are thank god). Continued my SITC marathon only to be surprised at the door by 2 sweaty chicks who wanted to a piece of my airconditioning action. Don't you hate it when friends just use you for your electrics? Now i just need to get thru the New Year holidays.
