Our house was host to a very quaint mini tea party yesterday to celebrate the launch of the housemate's new online retail venture. There were sushi platters, mini party pies, sausage rolls, curry puffs, lamingtons, custards horns, jelly babies, snake lollies, red wine, white wine, sangria, vanilla coke, champagne, 20-something people, homemade jewlery, summery tops, batik sequined skirts, boys on the couch, girls in the changing room ... it was a blast. i dont ever remember this many people in our house at one time. I busied myself chatting with old friends, new faces and topping up my glass with red wine. By the end of it, i was red-faced and a little pissed and eating all the leftover lamingtons. Hmmm, i lurve lamingtons! To note self, need to get me some of those IKEA wine glasses 'cos drinking great wine out of plastic 2-dollar shop party cups just ain't classy! Woke up this morning eating more Lamingtons, plonked myself in front of my tv and watched Sex And The City reruns till it was time to head out to the cinemas for Monster-In-Law. Eh, another J.Lo chick flick.
