In a typical 'screw you' fashion, the week i packed and store away all my winter woollies, the weather shifts dramatically and we get wailling storms and 5 degree nights.* Brrrrrr!!!!* Definitely looking forward to a new yorker summer now. In the last 2 weeks i have been keeping busy staying home (self-imposed shopping ban, remember?) and giving my idle hands a job with a pair of knitting needles. I can't believe i'm getting good at it. Even adding some creativity with the needle, thread and felt combo. The idea came from somewhere on the net, and when i make it to the 'black belt sansei' status of knitting, i will master the 'coffee cup' scarf (complete with foam and steam), an idea far more complex for my little novice fingers. I'm staying up late tonight to try and make it past 1am so i can check myself in online and stake claim on the best seat of the plane for the first leg. I'm tired, cranky and mentally drained from work but i have the power of anticipation and guilt free shopping in my near future to carry me thru' the worst of times....
