BACK TO THE START

27 SEPT 2005. TUESDAY. 08:30PM.

I'm back in civilization! (Kisses the bed, the tv, the internet). The weekend in Dwellingyup was definitely a great experience but it just reaffirmed what i had already knew ... no matter how fresh the air is outside, this chickie still prefers to be sleeping under some solid roof, preferably with heating included. Nonetheless, i totally enjoyed my weekend (okay, it was more like 48, no 32 hours) in the semi-wilderness. Our camping neighbors were friendly, the hot showers available were a god sent, my 3-men tent was cozy, the food was delicious, toasted marshmallow on twigs are the best dessert ever, DO NOT go on a 5-hour bike ride without proper padding in the backside, thank god for whoever created the foldable mattress, baking a chocolate banana sandwich from memory wasn't too hard (it sure brought back memories of Girl Guide school camps!), and thumbs-up to great friends who had your tent all set up upon your arrival. Next time i will remember to ... bring ear-plugs for noise elimination (ie: noisy neighbors, midnight snoring symphonies, mysterious rustling in the woods), pre-mix cappuccino sachets, and a better looking beanie!
