My first summer outdoor movie experience kicked off on monday. It was filled with a beautiful sunset, rainbow (make that TWO rainbows) in the horizon simultaneously - the perfect good luck charm for the new year!, getting attacked by flies and mossies, grey clouds in the sky, yummy food, a good cup of coffee and getting rained on a couple of times but we were not moving till the movie ended! I've never watched a movie in the rain, it was kinda cool. Thank god i had my wintry gear with me (how did i foresee this?) and apart from the occasional pitter patter on the jumper hood, it was a charming experience. Oh, and the movie was In Her Shoes. Loved it and didn't catch a cold. My xmas pressies from home came late in the mailbox but were very thoughtful gifts from friends and a fave cousin who remembered my past whinge about the lack of friendship bands available for sale in perth, and so that was what i got (apart from other things) in excessive amounts! My supply now is bountiful and i couldn't ask for a better present. My new purchases last week to prepare me for the new year had been a 51cm tv (totally satisfying) and a vacuum cleaner on sale (dull and practical) ... and you know which one i've been using hell more since its been home.
