BACK TO THE START

19 FEB 2006. SUNDAY. 10:48PM.

The number 1 favorite thing i love about the new apartment are the heavy-weight drapes. They give me the darkness i crave for on weekend mornings and keep away the heat on those scorching hot summer days. I am getting quite attached to my luxurious rental and the constant skyshow. i swear there has been fireworks going off non-stop since i moved in! I heard TWO just this week. My most treasured spot in here - the couch. I spend at least 2/3 of my waking time in the apartment on it. It's the epicenter of my life. Daily world updates (tv) straight ahead, keeping in step with the current trend forecast (trash/fashion magazines) to the left, my global communication device (laptop) on the coffee table, air and electronic controls (remotes for the vcr/dvd/air con) to my right ... its pretty much my one stop information superhighway! Its probably a darn good thing i can't sleep on this couch (slightly too short for the legs). Speaking of luxuriousness ... today i paid a whooping $77 for a lobster noodle lunch for my parents and i which left me a little unsettled. When did we start indulging on food before dinner time? Expensive meals were always left for the after dark. Except of course when we splurge on $100 champagne buffet lunches, which technically counts for the 3 meals of the day if you know how to eat it right.
