Shoes to date - 3 pairs. My attempt to bake a quiche for my homecoming dinner party and impress my friends with my newly found confidence in cooking failed miserably last night when i found out just hours before that my mom's kitchen had no oven! How issit that i never knew that? All the times i have returned home for visits, all the times that i've made myself coffee in that kitchen, how could i have not known? It was hilarious. So instead, i brought along fried yummy goodness from the nearby hawker food centre and secretly thought that this was HEAPS better than eating some ordinary tasting quiche! Today in an attempt to degrease myself, i had a simple sashimi lunch and headed off in search of my favorite quirky shops in the city. I was happy to see that the vintage trend have hit the shores since i last visit. I loaded myself up with fun plastic jewelry, cheap vinyl shoes and 2 scoops of gelato ice-cream. Hmmmm. Off on our roadtrip tomorrow. I am excited. We haven't been on one since the last time she came to australia and we got bogged down in the sand while trying to do a U-Turn, and we were laughing so hard, the hunk who helped us thought we were still drunk from the night before. It's never a dull moment with us two, so till we make it back from KL this weekend, adieus amigos!
