It felt kinda like a blind date, only this time i didn't have to worry about unpleasant discoveries (6 feet my arse mate!) or talking to the wrong people. Last night, 2 lovely ladies whom i met thru this lil site of mine took me out for a night of great food, sensational desserts and endless conversations well into the night. What a treat for me to finally meet them in person, talk about our lives with familiarity and put a voice to the photos at last. I even left with a goodie bag filled with beauty essentials thanks to vanessa's perks of working for a fashion magazine. Which made me think of my own work perks ... lets see, free lanyards and pie days every fortnight? Hmmm. Not quite the same. BIG SHOUTOUT TO ANDREA AND VANESSA! My next 7 days here will be governed by food. My days are all planned out around where i will be eating and when. For someone who has very easy-pleasing taste buds, i sometimes feel overwhelmed with the food trek ahead. I'm already craving for fresh veggies and nothing else but when in rome, the romans take you by the arm and lead you to the buffet table. So this is why i'm only drinking black coffee this arvo and dodging the lunch request from dad in preparation for the next buffet battle tonight at the Hyatt. May the force be with me.....
