03 MAY 2006. WEDNESDAY. 09:31PM.
The op shops along the street at work light up after nightfall. The clutter inside illuminates and sparkles under the spot lights, it's like looking through time machine. I stayed back a little at work tonight giving moral support to our UK crew for a launch happening there, and took the opportunity to grab my camera and took a walk down the street to admire the view from the outside, in the crazy cold. My throaty cough and slight persistent fever finally let up after i put myself into bed the last 2 nights at the unthinkable hour of 9:00pm. I can't remember the last time i tucked myself into bed this early, Wham! was prolly still big during those golden years. Anyway, it seem to have done the trick. I woke up this morning feeling fresh like mint and for the first time since i got back from my trip, didn't swear at the clock and close my eyes for a short snooze before finally getting up, and then arriving at work later than i anticipated ... which means i would volunteer to get today's coffee run to dissipate any inklings of guilt. I'm so glad i managed to gather some troops to head down to Tsunami this month cause i'm dying to try their "Smelly like a uni student's socks, tastes strange, & made with fermented tiny soya beans" and "'Fish is bonesless, white without much taste. We don't like it, but it's got a cult following. Try something else instead.." How can anyone resist a menu like that?
