Tsunami was a tad too ambient to take great photos but my canon found its way around the table and oh look, there's me trying to pretend not to know the camera was there and holding still for the shot! Despite being warned on their website about suspicious ingredients in the food served, i loved my dinner choices. Kicking off with some bubbly wine and deep-fried soft shell crabs, my main was tempura prawn sushi and we shared a bowl of japanese ice cream (black sesame my fave!) and i washed it down with black cinnamon coffee. I could see what the fuss was about , the place was gorgeous tho' Mister Trumpet's deadpan stare straight at our table during their whole jazz set was freaking us out. Anywhooo, while sitting at work last week, i stumbled upon the Virgin Blue Happy Hour sale and bought myself a return ticket to melbourne for $99 each way. Now i didn't plan this, i hadn't asked anyone to come with, my emergency sms to my always reliant travel buddy back home didn't cross airwaves fast enough. Oh hell, i bought them anyway. I could use a trip away for a long weekend, i did say before i missed travelling solo. Thankfully my instincts were right, my travel bud is always in favour of escaping the chinese new year festivities in the tropics. Now the hardest part of it all ... breaking the news to my folks. Yikes!
