BACK TO THE START

22 JULY 2006. SATURDAY. 06:44PM.

So last thursday we were invited to witness our newest programmer at work get hitched at Hyde Park. There was no one else there except the 10-(wo)men work crew and a celebrant. There was no need for dressing up, no need for sitting with strangers over a 3-course meal, no bouqet throwing, no drunken uncles to hide from ... it was kinda cool and extremely informal. We all left our desks at work promptly, headed down to the park in our jeans and sunnies. Besides, the bride was already knocked up. To clear up future internet rumours, they did have a "proper" overseas ceremony 6 months ago (before she was knocked up) and this time was just to cross the 't's and dot the 'i's. So any formalities were thrown out the window. We headed to the pub after for the post-wedding celebrations which invloved alot of drinking, 6 rounds of pizzas, and a few games at the pool table. Two hours later the boss left us with his credit card, the couple left for their honeymoon trip down south and we switched from beers to cocktails. You can say the rest of the day at work was spent in a slight drunken haze.

SOME NON-WEDDING PHOTOS HERE.
