Helena's leaving the country! And to think it was only our 2nd meet up and it's goodbye for now already. We caught up for a nice korean bbq dinner in Subi on friday night, i was glad to be out of the office and couldn't wait to drink my first sip of wine. Too bad i had to drive 'cos i would have gone for a whole bottle if i could! We were adventurous opting to try the pork belly meat in our banquet combo. Hmmm ... chewy they were. Of course, when we walked out our clothes reeked of food, just like we said we would at the beginning. Bon Voyage missy, we'll catch up when i'm back in the tropics again ! Our talk about her shopping finds that day must have triggered an 'on' switch in me 'cos i went for broke the next day and treated myself to a nice retail extravaganza. My freelance money came in finally last week and i was as guilt-free as can be with handing over my credit card. You know the feeling ... the feel good kind. Alright, when issit never? Accompanying a friend to go watch The Lake House on saturday night, i had the least of expectations. I wasn't interested in the Keanu and Sandra combo after they made Speed 1, why ruin a good thing with another but i was surprisingly hooked throughout the movie. Now i can't help but want to watch the original korean version which Stella had so highly recommended. Maybe this one will make me cry.
