I finally got to watch "The Secret" dvd over the weekend. It was unplanned and rather interesting. Over at Beebs place for some late Saturday arvo coffee after a morning of cheap culinary shopping, she carelessly searched around the house and found the DVD that has been lying somewhere forgotten for months. I sat thru' the 90 minute documentary without smirking once. Despite some of its cheesy Eighties looking and sometimes Da Vinci Code inspired visual effects, I have to say it lacked the trail of stale smelling hocus pocus that most self-help books tend to leave behind. I found their theories plausible and simple. I'll put it to work and keep you updated on my success, or not. After all, it teaches you nothing is impossible .... look out for my new Mini Cooper in the coming months. With work taking up alot of my time, the only thing I have had time to squeeze in was baking. In the last 7 days, I have fed the lads at work an apple cinnamon cake, a loaf banana bread and just today a maple cake with maple cream center. With my new cook book ready for a test drive, I plan to prove a point to myself that baking and cooking can't be that much different, one cannot be harder than the other.
