09 AUGUST 2007. THURSDAY. 07:40PM.

Perhaps God was trying teaching me a lesson about frivolous shopping, or perhaps He (or She) just wanted to keep me home and away from the shops ... 'cause come Monday, while leaving work and driving home in the storm, my car decided to shut down completely. Yes, WHILE I WAS DRIVING. I panicked for about 20 seconds, then decided this was indeed a deja vu moment. Stuck on a quiet street with people in houses screaming at each other, in the rain and taking up a whole lane with my mobile beeping "charge battery" ... it could have been the longest night in my life. Or kinda like the last time I got stuck waiting for the tow truck for 4 hours in a parking lot. Thank god my car decided to carc itself just minutes away. Thank god for saviours who were still at work and came to wait with me with jumper leads (sadly, it wasn't my battery that died). So the RAC Man came NOT 3 hours later as instructed, and proclaimed it a towie. 40 minutes after that the Tow Truck Man came. The whole saga ended 90 minutes later (a personal best record!).

I finally got my car back today. And God if you are there, trust me I am listening to ya. See, I came straight home tonight even if it's Thursday late night shopping.
