Last friday I experienced my first South African cuisine which not surprisingly saw me walk out of there craving for fresh fish. I'm not a big fan of juicy steaks, i'll find the urge to have one whenever my body tells me she's tired of the 30 day chicken marathon. Nevertheless I could hardly pass up the steaks at The Hippo Creek, afterall they are known for their Kilo Club Challenge and I am rather disappointed no one attempted that at our table. Everything was cooked to perfection, I struggled with my comparatively undersized 250g steak. Most of all, I was slightly disturbed how close we were to the motel pool. Some sights were just not meant to be enjoyed while you are chewing on red meat.
