A Gastronomical Adventure.

24 AUGUST 2008. SUNDAY. 05:20PM.

The exciting day finally arrived. After years of starring at it across the street from work, after months of planning and securing a table at the highly-recommended Jacksons Restaurant we finally made it to the table. It was a little bit intimidating to walk into a restaurant that looked very highbrow from the outside but our waiters have been so nice and accommodating it made me feel so comfortable that I may even be so bold and wear jeans the next time. Anyway back to the food, thats what matters of course. Our 7 course dego meal stretched out to 11 rounds after the chef surprised us with delightful tasters in between. By the time my main dish (item #7) came out, i was ready to call it a night and loosen my belt. Truth to be told, it was probably my hungry dive for the bread basket at the start of our night that caused my early retirement. But I needed the carbs to soak up all the alcohol at our pre-dinner cocktail hour. Oopsies.

Our 4 hour meal finished at midnight and it was certainly an experience worth waiting for. Next time i'll skip the cheese sticks and wear elastic waist bands.
