By now i'm sure most of you have read/see/lived thru the horrid hail storm that swept over Perth on monday. Seriously it was like re-living the storm that took over Melbourne 2 weeks ago. I was at work when it hit. We lost internet for an hour so we all sat and watched it unfold in front of us. Watching hail stones beat relentlessly at our wall-to-wall glass windows, fetching towels to try and soak up the water that is leaking thru our roof and try not to think if our cars are holding up outside in the open.

When it was all over and i was ready to head home, i walked towards my car and miraculously it was left relatively untouched with just a few small cosmestic dents. Then as i drove into my street, all the power was gone and my neighbors were sweeping up the debris from the storm in pitch darkness. I came home to a leaking bedroom ceiling and a broken window. I dunno what hit the fly screen and then cracked open the glass but my bathroom has glass all over the floor. With no lights and power to clean up the mess, i decided to head back out to a friend's who has power with my laptop and charger, just in case i have to get thru the night with no tv.

Anyway that was 3 days ago. Thankfully it has been sunny hot days since and i'm hoping that would dry out my wet roof. And nothing is more well-timed than a mid-week burger and movie night with friends.
